01 / BUILT AROUND THE JOURNEY
First visit or familiar commute, the questions are the same: which train am I on, where is it going, and when do I get off? Keep the answers close as your journey unfolds.
TransitSense combines phone location, rail-route information and live service evidence to help identify your service.
Once identified, your train remains the focus as you travel. Check your route, upcoming stops and service details in one place.
See what’s ahead and set an arrival reminder in the app, so you can follow the journey without watching every station sign.
Identification and live information depend on location quality and available rail data. The app can remain unconfirmed when evidence is insufficient.
FOR TOURISTS & CURIOUS EXPLORERS

Yes. Tourists are a key audience, including international visitors, UK holidaymakers and day-trippers. The app brings train identification, route context, upcoming stops and arrival reminders together to help make unfamiliar rail journeys easier to follow. Current development focuses on UK rail services.
The app’s focus is understanding the train journey you’re on. For now, use your usual rail provider or ticket service to plan your trip and buy the appropriate ticket.
No. The interactive showcase uses illustrative journey data and reconstructed screens to show the app’s features. It does not identify your train or access your location.
Identification depends on phone location, rail geometry and available service information. Shared tracks, poor positioning and gaps in live data can make identification uncertain. The app is designed to keep uncertainty visible when evidence is insufficient.
Development currently focuses on UK rail journeys. Route and service coverage depend on the rail data available. Wider availability and supported devices will be confirmed as development progresses.
This website does not request your location or connect to a live train feed. The demo runs in your browser. An email link opens your email application; it does not sign you up automatically. Hosting services may process standard technical access logs.
